Since 2005, Circus Kaput has been involved in the pre-show of the Shakespeare Festival St. Louis’ summer productions. Audiences laugh and cheer as Josh Routh (under various names – Wild Will Shakespeare, Caesar Salad, Alice Shortcake, Yorick) and Juggling Jeff Koziatek comedically pass “razor sharp knives of death” around unsuspecting audience members.
Josh wanders among the 5,000 audience members doing tricks for the various couples on a date, dinner parties and groups of friends. Josh also breathes fire and swallows swords.
Jeff makes his way to the hill and does his now famous Juggling Jeff show. Full of thrills and chills the audiences come back year after year for his great show.
Just before showtime Josh and Jeff get to do a a short bit to hype up the audience. In 2009 they even let Josh onstage as a member of the cast of “The Merry Wives of Windsor”.
