Bio
Joshua Routh is a nationally recognized circus performer and the star of "Jadoo - A One Man Comedic Circus. Josh has been performing nationally since 1993 and received formal training at the Circus Center's Clown Conservatory in San Francisco, where he graduated "Class Clown." He includes juggling, magic, Chinese lion, teeterboard, partner acrobatics, tumbling, sideshow and trampoline among skills he excels in.
Josh has performed with The New Pickle Circus, The San Francisco Youth Circus, The Famous Reynold's Circus, The Much Ado Shakespeare Circus, Velocity Circus, The St. Louis Shakespeare Festival and of course Circus Kaput. When he is not performing, Josh lectures on the circus arts. He has been a guest lecturer for the American Youth Circus Organization, Metro Theater Company, Circus Center, Circus Flora, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Washington University.
In 2003 he was awarded a CAT Fellowship for his work as a social artist. Recently he has been working with Abra-Kid-Abra creating Magic, Comedy and Circus afterschool programs in the St. Louis area. He is the author of the books, "Superhuman Feats", "Sideshow For Kids", and "The Variety Show Handbook."
